800 Tourists to be rescue today from Aguas Calientes


Cusco and Machu Picchu rains

At least 800 more tourists are still stranded in Aguas Calientes after the torrential rains and landslides isolated Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu and surrounding villages.

Army helicopters and private companies are expected to conclude the rescue today (January 29th, 2010). The weather (reported by Senahmi) is making possible for the rescue operations to continue.
